We can see some of that happening today!

When we hear what is happening in the
religious world, we hear a call for religious
unity. Especially in the liberal denominations.

Because people are leaving by the millions
they are trying plans and programs one after
another to pull and keep things together.

The Antichrist will gladly accept their worship.
He will call all the religions together into a
great universal program, to agree on what the
one-world religion will be like.

The one thing they will certainly agree upon
is their desire to follow him.

Worship will be characteristic of the world in
the last days, but that worship will be Satanic.

They will worship the dragon, "And they wor-
shiped the dragon who gave power unto the
beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying,
Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war
with him?," Revelation 13:4 which the Bible
says, is the devil himself. And they will also
worship the beast.

They will say, "This is more than man. Hasn't
one of the gods, or God Himself come to live
among us?"

The Antichrist will step up in power at the
start of the Tribulation. He will look and
act like he is a friend of Israel and the world
will admire him.

But he will betray that friendship in the
middle of the Tribulation. The Bible says he
will break the covenant with Israel. That
will cause a rebellion for they will no longer
be friends because he sets himself up in the
Temple and says that he is God.

This religion will not be Christianity. He the
Antichrist will make himself the object of
worship.

"he, as God, sitteth in the temple of God,
showing himself that he is God,"
2 Thessalonians 2:4

There's a day coming when the Antichrist
will look at the world, and see his political
power beginning to come together.

As it does, he will know he has to give the
people something to believe. Something
to hold it all together. It will be a one-world
religion.

There is going to be a sense of emergency
to the fact that if we are going to have world
peace we will have to have something else.

If we are going to end war, hunger, chaos, and
crime and all other deadly things in the world,
we will have to believe in something about the
destiny of man. Something we do not quite see
yet.

Hitler had an ideology. He was going to bring
about the Reich.

There is a political movement being talked
about today called the "new world order."

This ideology is growing in the minds of the
leaders every day.

An ideology that people will be asked to
believe. A semi-spiritual ideology.

Communism offered one called Marxism.
It turned out to be false and futile before
it was done, but it provided something in
which the people could believe.

As the world pulls toward economic unity,
it discovers that political unity is needed in
order to do that.

But soon there will be something else that
the world will discover. When trying to put
unity together, it needs more than just an
outward materialism. It will need an 'ideology'.

So they said they were going to need a United
States of Europe, explaining that it would be
neccessary in order to reach their goals.

It would allow them to work together with the
others, like NAFTA and the Asian Economic
Treaty.

One thing about leaders, there is always
something more needed. There is never
enough.

Europe showed that when they tried to put
together a European Economic Community.
They claimed it would give them great econ-
omic possibilites.

But they found that they couldn't have that
unless they also had political unity to go with
it.
