The Rapture will unite believers with Christ,
never to be separated again!

One of the great promises of the Rapture is
that we will be "present with the Lord," not
having to walk by faith, but by sight.

What an awesome occasion that will be, as
John discovered when he met the Lord to
write the book of Revelation. (Revelation
1:9-18)

The Rapture will reunite believers with
loved ones who have died in Christ.

First, we will be able to greet one another
and together we will be taken into the
presence of Jesus Christ and into the
presence of God the Father.

The Rapture will be the resurrection of the
believers. One of the main doctrines of the
Christian faith is that of the resurrection of
the body.

This resurrection for believers will be an
identical occasion as that of the Rapture, at
which time the bodies of the Christians,
glorified, will be reunited with their spirits
which have been in the presence of Jesus.
Jesus will descend from Heaven to meet all
the believers in the air. He doesn't come all
the way back to earth but meets us high in
the air.

It will be far enough away so that the people

on earth will not see what happened.
Christians who have died are with the Lord
and they will be brought by Him to the
Rapture.

Many are concerned about the location
and the state of their departed loved one
now.

The Bible reassures us that they are safe
and cared for by Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 presents the truth
of the Rapture of the Church.

Spiritual ignorance is not praised in the Word.
God has given us His word, even that sure
word of prophecy, so that we, by paying our
attention to it, can become knowledgeable,
rather than ignorant Christians.

Paul wrote, saying,
"But I would not have you to be ignorant,
brethren, concerning them which are
asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others
which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose

again, even so them also which sleep in
Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of

the Lord, that we which are alive and
remain unto the coming of the Lord shall
not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from

heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with

these words." 1Thessalonians 4:13-18
These early Christians wrote to Paul and
asked him about those who had died and
how they will take part in the return of
Christ.

We have Paul's answer to their questions
about death and resurrections.

In his letter to the church in Thessalonica,
given by divine revelation, he revealed
the truth of the resurrection of the believing
Christians at that time.
These Christians were also concerned about
when their departed loved ones would be re-
surrected from the dead.

Jesus was coming again, so they wondered
how all this was going to happen. The same
remains today among those who are un-
taught.
Some of the early Christians had died.
Five years, ten years and twenty years
had gone by and Jesus hadn't come back.

The end of life had taken place for one
Christian after another. That produced
some questions in the minds of those
who were still living.

These Christians knowing that their loved
ones were present with the Lord, wondered
how they would share in His returning.
There was a time when these Christian's
knowledge of the return of Jesus and
their own rising from the dead or if they
were still alive became a doctrinal
question before the Church.

'How do those who have already died in
Christ join in the moment of His return
with those who are still alive?'

'Is there a special resurrection for the
Christian?'
"Who hath saved us, and called us with an
holy calling, not according to our works,
but according to his own purpose and grace,
which was given us in Christ Jesus before
the world began, But is now made manifest
by the appearing of our Savior, Jesus Christ,
who hath abolished death, and hath brought
life and immortality to light through the
gospel," 2 Timothy 1:9-10

Getting letters like this from Paul, the early
Christians followed the truth of Jesus' re-
surrection with joy.
". . .I am the resurrection, and the life; he
that believeth in me, though he were dead,
yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and
believeth in me shall never die. Believest
thou this?" John 11:25-26

These people who had only seen themselves
as wicked, had a time understanding these
words. But Paul later verified this in his
words of the future glory as a work of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
From many reprobate pasts, the believers
crossed over to faith in Jesus Christ to
become heirs of God.

Coming from nothing, they were now
overcome with the teaching that as a gift
from, the possessed eternal life and the
riches of the universe. Jesus even promised
them that they would never die.
What excitment must have taken over
the minds of the those of the body of Christ
as they thought of that day.

Their background in Corinth and the area
around them was that they were just
ordinary people. Some were very wicked
sinners, others were prostitues,
whoremongers, thieves and even tax
collectors.
Today, because of the great destiny that
God has prepared for us who are His; He
is "bringing many sons unto glory"
Hebrews 2:10

All the events of life are calculated by God
to produce maturity in His sons in order
prepare us to rule for eternity.
