Satan tried to take the place of God in the universe when he claimed that he was god.

This began his war that was to drag all of humankind into thousands of years of sinful rebellion against God our Creator.
Satan my have once guarded the throne of God with the other cherubim described in the book of Revelation not like ugly images of him found in mediaeval art. He was created as "the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty."

The Bible tells us that he succeeded in taking a third of the angels of heaven with him when he rebelled.
In Ezekiel's prophecy satan appears as the title "Prince of Tyre." The subject is satan, not an earthly prince.

In Ezekiel 28:2,12-15, satan was created as an 'anointed cherub' who was perfect in all his ways until his sinful pride led him to rebel against God.
Cults believe that satan is an evil god. Satan is not an eternal being as a god.

He was created  in the dateless past as an angel.
The prophecies in Ezekiel 28, details the career of satan from his creation in heaven, his rebellion, his possession of the soul of antichrist and his doom.
The first prediction about the antichrist is in Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; He shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel."

This verse reveals the future conflict between the antichrist, the seed of satan and Jesus, her seed.

And we also find the first promise of the virgin birth of Jesus in the expression "her seed"; not the natural seed of a father.
In the last days, the 'mystery of iniquity' that has worked in secret for thousands of years will finally and openly make known its spirit of lawlessness in the evil blasphemy of the coming Antichrist.
Now is the only time in history that we as a people have developed doomsday weapons capable of devastating huge areas of this planet.

The sinful rebellion during the Great Tribulation will produce the most evil, violence, blasphemy and persecution in human history.
The Bible tells us that the sins of this generation will come to the full in the last days.

During the Great Tribulation the majority of people will not only reject Jesus as God's promised Messiah, but they will knowingly accept satan's antichrist in His place.

The Bible, also indicates that the final apostasy will be the most blatant and open sinful rebellion against God's will.
Although events in history appear to have happened by chance, the Bible tells us that history is unfolding according to God's precise plans outlined thousands of years ago.
It's fascinating that the first prophecy in the Bible tells us both of the coming of the Messiah and His victory over the Antichrist, Genesis 3:15.

From Genesis to Revelation, there is a parallel in the series of predictions about them.

The opening and closing chapters of the two books focus on the career and final destruction of satan.
When Jesus returns and rules, the world will never again experience war, violence or hunger.

Guns will be no more. Men and women will enjoy peace and beauty that was lost long ago.

Jesus' victory over satan's antichrist will bring true justice and righteousness forever.
After an awful period of time called the Great Tribulation is over, God's promises to true believers will enjoy the peace, justice and joy that was lost after the fall of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden.
Many Christians look at prophecy believing it's only concerned with doom and gloom.

But we should look at it with great hope because it contains God's greatest promise to man; His promise to send our Messiah to set up His kingdom on earth.
The precise fulfillment of prophecy give us unshakeable proof that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.

And it reveals God's purposes from creation to eternity helping us to understand our part in His plans.
Many of our religious leaders are as unconcerned about prophecy as those in Jerusalem were two thousand years ago.

Despite warnings in the Bible to heed the warnings of prophecy, they are still uninterested.
Paul indicated that the Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah because they didn't understand the prophecies.

Acts 13:27, "For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew Him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning Him."
Peter points out in his book, 2 Peter 1:21, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, we are commanded in the bible.
One-quarter of the Bible is prophecy, so it is an important part of God's message to us. So if we want to understand our part in this generation we need to become familiar with the message of the coming Kingdom of God.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness",
2 Timothy 3:16.

Prophecies were supernaturally given to the writer by the divine will of God.
The purpose of Bible prophecy is to make clear God's continued plan of redemption for us through His Son Jesus Christ our Messiah.
The Bible proves the nature of prophecy.
2 Peter 1:19 "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; where unto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts".
Prophets revealed God's plan to redeem the people through the death, resurrection and victory in Jesus.
We as believers are not just to understand the prophecies about Israel and the nations; but we are to do those things that God has required of us.
For thousands of years the prophecies of the Bible have told us of the rise and fall of nations and empires.

The Bible revelations have proven true; so as we witness the fulfillment of the ones in our generation, we need to consider the warnings about the coming crisis seriously.
The fulfilled prophecies should encourage us to check out the predictions that are related to our future.

From beginning to end, the Word of God reveals the past, present and future.

No other book holds detailed predictions of future events, because no one but God can do it accurately.
